Terri Tauro

Terri Tauro is a mental health and behavioral health attorney whose practice is devoted exclusively to Treatment Law℠ and criminal defense. She is a managing partner and cofounder of Blumen & Tauro. With nearly 20 years of litigation experience, she focuses on the intersection of behavioral health and criminal law, including LPS conservatorships, probate conservatorships (limited and general), mental health diversion, and mental health collaborative courts.

Terri is a dedicated advocate for Orange County's Young Adult Court, where she has served for more than five years. Grounded in the research on adolescent brain development and its behavioral consequences for young people ages 18 to 25, the program helps participants and their families overcome the obstacles in their lives — allowing these young adults to have their felony charges dismissed and open doors to their futures.

Terri's litigation experience spans trials ranging from misdemeanors to homicides, as well as LPS trials, probate litigation, and Mentally Disordered Offender proceedings. She is licensed to practice law in California.
